​This new series called Scottish ballad follows the steps of my wife Claudia in her first visit to The Highlands. Balade in French is a stroll with no special purposes but to walk and look around you in a very mindful sort of way. Something Claudia is very good at. Also, Claudia loves folk songs including Scottish ballads. This series starts with a birthday celebration and a visit to an atomic bunker. I decided to include those as we thought that a visit to The Highlands would be an ideal 60th birthday celebration. Our visit to an atomic bunker preceding our trip to Scotland reminded me of Hitchcock’s 39 steps and Billy Wilder’s Private life of Sherlock Holmes that portrayed so well the beauty of The Highlands but also the sense of mystery that they give off. Trains and ghosts are the other main characters of this adventure.
